How it started
It all started with my grandmother’s wardrobe.
Her collection was full of timeless pieces, beautiful fabrics, and details you rarely see anymore. Two jackets in particular always stood out to me. Both had pankou buttons, intricate knot fastenings that instantly give a garment character and craftsmanship. I loved them, and today they remain some of the most worn pieces I own.
What I always admired was that nothing she wore was new. She never showed me piles of recent purchases. The pieces she wore had been part of her collection for years, and many of them are still worn today. It taught me the quiet value of buying fewer things, but choosing them well.
Over time, I realised the pieces I was most complimented on all had one thing in common, they came from my granny’s wardrobe, especially these two jackets. Over time, I wanted more, in different colours. After searching high and low for pankou buttons or mandarin style, or knot fastenings, I never found anything.

In a world where clothing is increasingly disposable, we believe in supporting small makers and creating pieces designed to endure, garments made to be worn, loved, and kept for years to come.
All of our garments are made from surplus fabrics that were originally overproduced and sourced from across Europe. Instead of ending up in a landfill and contributing to pollution, these beautiful, high-quality textiles are given a second life. We personally source many of these forgotten materials from across London and transform them through our designs.
Our garments are produced by a London-based, family-run manufacturer, whose time, skill, and craftsmanship we value enormously. Every piece is made with care and respect for the people behind it.
